Join us for a tour of two exceptional LEAP-winning sites and a behind-the scenes look at a native plant nursery!
3M is exceptional for their innovative landscaping and maintenance practices. Their grounds department is evolving a blend of hardscaping with native and perennial plants to create an attractive and inviting campus. This provides pollinator habitat and environmental benefits, while reducing maintenance costs and furnishing green space for employees to enjoy.
The Ramsey County Correctional Facility Plant Nursery is an important provider of native plants for restoration projects in the Metro and statewide. Nursery staff also sponsor a greenhouse and landscaping certification program for inmates.
The Ponds at Battle Creek Golf Course is an exceptional prairie parkland-style nine-hole course that takes its name literally! The course boasts tall and short grass prairie restorations, as well as native pond buffers that include remnant plants from the pre-settlement era.
